Hi friends! My name is Mia Mummau :)

I graduated from Liberty University with a degree in Graphic Design and now work full-time doing photography and social media.

Photography is more than a passion for me—it’s a ministry, and I’m so grateful to use this gift to glorify God!

Beyond the Camera

I’m originally from Guatemala, but I grew up in a small town in North Carolina. Nearly three years ago, I made the move to Virginia, and it’s been home ever since!

I’m a big fan of traveling, good coffee, concerts, and windows-down car rides. I love spending time with friends and family and embracing the simple joys of life.

Meeting new people and hearing their stories is one of my favorite parts of this job. I believe every person has a story worth telling, and photography gives me the chance to celebrate those stories. My love for connection and creativity fuels my work, whether it’s capturing a quiet moment in the mountains or the joy of a family gathering.

Above all, I love Jesus. My faith is the foundation of everything I do, shaping who I am and how I see the world—including this business. Photography isn’t just a job; it’s my ministry.

My Photography Journey

Even as a kid, I had a love for creativity. At 14, I was gifted a camera for Christmas, and that’s where it all began. I started by taking photos of friends and family just for fun, which eventually led to capturing moments at my youth group each week. During that time, I created an Instagram dedicated to my photography—again, just for fun.

As I’ve grown older and honed my skills, I’ve discovered a passion for photographing all kinds of moments. A few years ago, I dove into sports photography, and it quickly became one of my favorite things to do! In a full-circle moment, I became a creative intern at my church, capturing student ministry as a college student—the very place where my photography journey began. Alongside running my own photography business, I also work full-time on a media staff team where I focus on social media and photography. I’m truly honored to continue creating and telling stories through photos.

What started as a hobby has become so much more, and I couldn’t be more grateful!

"This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it."

Psalm 118:24
